How about the various elements of motivational theories:
Maslow's heirarchy of needs, Alderfers ERG theory and Hertzberg's 2 Factor theory.
I'll throw in Tuckman's (1969) theory of group formation for luck.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW THAT NOBODY ELSE KNOWS?
by Terry ini happen to think quite a few intelligent people have cornered the market on certain information.. when you are around other intelligent people you find in talking with them that you are incredibly more well informed about certain subjects than other people are.
in fact, you might know things that nobody else knows anything about.. tell me what it is that you know.. i have some really quirky things i know.
but, what do you know that sets you apart?

E-man - How is Nigel Quashie playing?
He played in a recent Scotland game - thought it wasn't too bad, although that doesn't say much for us at the moment....

Hmmm - difficult one -
I love jewellery so I may buy myself a diamond sparkler, or a gold bracelet, necklace, earrings or an expensive watch. The investment factor also appeals to the canny Scot in me.
I would also spend the money on corporate hospitality at the next Glasgow Rangers football game. Nice heated seats for me and my dad!

Wow - this brings back memories. The green bible was the first one that I had. If I remember correctly the paer quality wasn't that good and the pages felt like tracing paper. I remember being quite excited when the black covered version came out with the cross references.
My mum also had a maroon/purpley coloured version with gold coloured lettering - methinks we were getting a bit above our station with that....

" In some quarters mechanical devices have already made us guys obsolete
Hence 90's man learnt to cook, clean and hold a baby!!! "
Nah - unfortunately the 'Rabbit' can't mow the lawn.
Hooray for 90's man, just add ironing to the list and 2004's woman will be totally delirious!!!!!

I have loads of these - being a sentimental soul I can't 'bear' to throw them out. This is mainly because I remember who gave me them, and the occasion.
My own favourites were a large Panda bear, and a smaller one. I imaginatively named them 'Big Panda and Little Panda'. I also remember my first 'talking' doll that could speak and sing - when I took it out of the box I almost passed out with the excitement - and before anyone makes any comments I was only 4!!!!

LoL
My dad used to put brylcreem in his hair! It used to stain the pillows and the back of the couch, drove my mum mental. I liked the smell tho - and it was good for him to sweep his hair back in a 'teddy boy ' type of way.
hey Gumby - I bet there's a bottle of Old Spice lurking on your bathroom shelf beside the brylcreem!!!
